Service Fees & Use of Images
The Swift-Stewart Research Center charges fees for research services and use of images the archives supplies for publication, distribution or exhibition in any format, including print and electronic media. Use fees support the preservation and maintenance of our archival collections.
For all genealogical research and any other in-depth research questions that involve staff time, a $25/hour fee will be charged after the first 15 minutes of free service.
For any material sent to a researcher off-site, a 15% museum processing fee and shipping costs will be added.
Photocopying or Scanning of Printed Materials

Hourly fee of $25/hour will be added after first 20 pages of photocopied materials.
In-house printed images on medium weight, semi-gloss or matte paper.
For images and documents that have not been digitized, scanning fee will be added to the price of photographic print.

Above fees are for a non-exclusive license to reproduce the image(s) in one edition in the one language specified, unless otherwise agreed by the Museum in writing.
Permission to use the reproduction(s) in reprints, revised editions, foreign language translations, or derivative works must be requested separately.
All rights of reproduction in any medium must be obtained in writing from the Henry Sheldon Museum.
Submit the Conditions for Visual Materials Publication Agreement to the Stewart-Swift Research Center.
The Permission to Publish will be granted upon completion of application, approval and payment of all fees.
All reproductions shall bear the following credit line:
