The Center’s photographic collection comprises of over 10,000 photographic prints, postcards, cased photographs and negatives of Addison County scenes, buildings, events, and people. Among its more extensive 20th century collections are the aerial views of western Vermont by George N. Lathrop and the Camp Keewaydin photographic archive.
A portion of the photographic collection was digitized and is now available through the University of Vermont Landscape Change Project and through the Historic Middlebury digital collection at Middlebury College.
A name and subject index to the collection is available. A detailed, cross-referenced finding aid can be examined in the Research Center’s reading room. The online catalog provides additional information.
