Give to the Sheldon Museum’s Annual Fund

In his day, Henry Sheldon was a vital part of his community and valued his heritage. He continuously collected artifacts and documents related to the people and towns of Addison County, and then established a wondrous museum to protect and share those collections. Now, 125 years later, the Museum shines a light onto the past that provides unique insight into our own times.

Today’s museum is much more than Henry could ever have imagined, replete with fine collections and an exceptional research center. We have never lost sight, however, of the importance of local history, and are always working to improve how the Museum shares that history with you and all of our various visitors.

Our next major goal is to provide universal access through the front entrance, and a portion of this year’s Annual Fund will be designated toward the completion of that project.

Other plans are in the works as well, as we continue to enhance the way the Museum protects and shares its unmatched collection of local artifacts and documents with you.  As the year progresses, we’ll be telling you more, and hope you will share your thoughts with us, as well.

Our Annual Fund provides an important portion of our operating income each year, and we appreciate your contribution to it in support of the Museum and its future.

The Sheldon Museum is a private, not for profit organization. Contributions to the Annual Fund support Museum operating costs and are separate from membership dues. Your gift is tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
