Education
The Sheldon Museum is currently without a Museum Educator. We hope to be able to offer a variety of programs, Museum tours, and resource materials for students of all ages soon, contingent on funding.
Current Educational Offerings:
We have Learning Kits available for educators (currently kits are not circulating and are being inventoried and reviewed by staff and volunteers — we hope to have them available for use again in June 2025).
An open-source middle-grade curriculum unit, Charity & Sylvia: Identity, Community & True Love, exploring how people’s stories, both past and present, can help us understand ourselves and one another. Learn more about Charity & Sylvia here.
Educational Outreach Programs, Guided Tours, and Customized Programs are not currently available.

LEARN & EXPLORE at HOME
The Henry Sheldon Museum kits are filled with resources on Vermont history including books, artifacts, audio-visual materials, and reproduction items. All kits align with the Vermont Framework of Standards and address a wide variety of learning styles. The kits are available for schools, special events, home-school families, historical societies, private individuals, and non-profit groups.
