Join us for a unique fundraising event at the Henry Sheldon Museum!
Artists in the House invites local artists to showcase their talents while supporting the Museum’s programs. Artists in the exhibit will receive 50% of the final bid on their piece.
This 50/50 fundraiser will feature stunning artwork on exhibit in the Museum’s historic kitchen, vibrant community engagement, and an opportunity to directly support artists and the Museum! Bidding will occur online; art pieces will be on exhibit at the Museum from May 21st to September 6th.
For artists’ interested in participating in this exhibit and fundraiser, please fill out the form below by April 8th.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How will the auction be advertised?
The Museum will take care of all advertising, including placing ads in the Addison Independent and on Front Porch Forum. Additionally, we will share the auction via our newsletter, social media outlets and an exhibit banner on our front porch. We certainly encourage our participating artists to share the auction with their friends and family, too!
Can I set a minimum bid for my piece?
Yes, we will work with you to set a suggested minimum starting bid for your piece.
How will I get my piece to the Museum?
Upon receipt of the submission form, an HSM staff member will be in touch to arrange for a drop off of your piece at the Museum, as well as for a high quality image of your piece for the auction website (or we can help you with that photo, if needed).
Will you ship items?
Yes, the Museum can ship at buyers’ cost.
When will I receive payment for my sold artwork?
Artists will be paid within 2 weeks of the close of the auction.
